PRACTICAL TOOLS FOR GYM OWNERS

A useful place to start.

Three short checklists to help you spot gaps in your marketing and member experience. No signup required.

01 / MARKETING CHECK

Can a new student take the next step?

Open your website on your phone and look at it as someone who has never trained before.

  1. Can you immediately tell who the gym is for and where it is?
  2. Is the trial offer clear, including what happens after an inquiry?
  3. Can you find the schedule, directions, and a contact or booking option?
  4. Does an inquiry reach the person responsible for responding?
  5. Do you know which channels bring inquiries that become members?

Try this: Choose one point of friction and make it easier before adding more advertising.

02 / TRIAL EXPERIENCE

Make the first class feel easy.

Walk through the full experience, from the first message to the conversation after class.

  1. Tell the prospect what to wear, when to arrive, and who will greet them.
  2. Confirm the booking and send a useful reminder.
  3. Give the coach the context needed to welcome a first-time student.
  4. Record attended, cancelled, or no-show status after the trial.
  5. Explain membership options and agree on a clear follow-up step.

Try this: Assign a person to each step. Automation helps with reminders; your team owns the experience.

03 / MONTHLY REVIEW

Ask better questions about growth.

Review the same date range and definitions each time so the numbers are useful.

  1. How many new leads arrived, and where did they come from?
  2. How many booked and attended a trial?
  3. How many became paying members?
  4. What did advertising cost per new member?
  5. What happened to existing memberships, cancellations, and referrals?

Try this: Identify the largest drop-off, decide one change, and review what happened at the next check-in.
